Environmental management is an increasingly important part of farming today. With the introduction of cross-compliance, increased funding available through agri-environmental schemes and growing consumer awareness of environmental aspects of food production, today’s farmer needs to make the most of these opportunities and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. FWAG is uniquely placed at the heart of the industry to offer solutions to help with environmental advice for every farming and land managing business or organisation.
FWAG offers a wide range of advisory services available including an on-farm visit by one of our Advisers to identify the features and aspects of your land that have the potential for improved environmental gain and business benefit. Taking our 'whole farm approach', we will pinpoint those aspects of your enterprise that may benefit from better environmental planning and highlight areas where further advice is recommended.

FWAG's Farm Conservation Advisers understand the pressures on farming and the environment. Our expertise and practical advice brings conservation into the management of your farm and can make a positive contribution to the bottom line of your business. One-to-one farm visits are reinforced with tailor-made plans to help implement the advice on the ground.
Further best practice advice is disseminated through walks, talks, workshops, leaflets and website. FWAG also represents the needs of farmers, wildlife and the environment when in consultation with government, environmental bodies and farming organisations at both local and national levels.
FWAG has a successful track record in supporting farmers in entering grant schemes. Across the UK we have helped farmers gain access to Environmental Stewardship in England, Rural Stewardship in Scotland, Tir Gofel and Tir Cynnal in Wales and supporting Government and NGOs in Northern Ireland. We also support farmers to access Woodland Grant Schemes and other farm based grant applications.
FWAG's on-farm advice is delivered through Landmanager -- a unique and individually tailored service designed to suit your agri-environmental needs. Landmanager is designed to help farmers:
· Improve wildlife and conservation on the farm
· Make the most of agri-environment schemes

Wherever possible FWAG advice is given taking the 'whole farm approach', considering both the whole of the farm and the farm business as a whole.
