Our countryside is used for recreation, heritage, defence, nature conservation and commercial agriculture.

Therefore we all have an interest in the countryside; we are all stakeholders and custodians.

You may be a rambler; a game fisher, or a birdwatcher. You may be riding a bike, a horse or a recreational vehicle. Your interest may be in organic food, bio dynamics, or in strong coastal defences. You may like to buy food produced in the UK or your own region, to reduce food miles and keep your country independent from foreign imports.
